Unblocking Sounding Tubes
UNBLOCKING SOUNDING TUBES
We have developed a unique means of refurbishing the internal surface on sounding tubes which becomes corroded over a period of time. Due to operational and environmental circumstance these tubes deteriorate and become blocked from various sources (oxidation & rust scaling, foreign, objects).
Our objective is:
- Unblocking obstructed sounding tubes - this allows for the sounding of tubes being accurate as a means of determining content levels which is vital for proper ballast control.
- Refurbishment of sounding tubes - cleaning the internal walls of the sounding tubes prevents further blockages from collapsed rust scaling and keeps tubes open for proper sounding.
- Coating of internal surface of cleaned sounding tubes with a rust binder and inhibitor.
